Personal Statement Masterclass

Oxford Trip

Date: Friday 23 June Time: All day

The city of dreaming spires... seat of scholars for 800 years... Oxford houses Britain's oldest university, botanical gardens, and pubs. It has more quadrangles, gothic spires and listed buildings than you can shake a gown at. You will get to enjoy the classic Oxford experience of punting on the River Cherwell as well as visiting the Ashmolean – one of the finest museums in Britain – and exploring the culinary wonderland that is the world famous Oxford covered market at lunchtime!

In the morning Ms Hemmings and Dr Hazell will deliver a session on how to craft the perfect UCAS Personal Statement, jam packed with lots of top tips and useful examples of successful past statements. In the afternoon, pupils will move into smaller groups to work with Sixth Form Tutors on crafting a unique statement tailored to their own ambitions. By the end of the day pupils will have a clear idea of what they need to do over summer to ensure they have a storming first draft come the autumn term. Date: Thursday 22 June Time: 8:30am - 9:30am and 2:00pm - 4:00pm

It's a Knockout!

Packed with all kinds of games and inflatable challenges, It’s a Knockout is a competitive event full of teamwork, camaraderie, laughter (and quite possibly some cheating). Once the blood is flowing, it’s straight on with the challenges which include the bungee run, gladiator joust, wacky races, inflatable horsey hoppers, giant inflatable assault course, the inflatable wet wall, and our famous giant inflatable washing machines.
