HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY Senior 9 pupils were fortunate to hear from Holocaust Survivor Eva Clarke BEM as part of the Holocaust Educational Trust’s annual Holocaust Memorial Day webcast. Eva told pupils about her parents’ experiences of the Holocaust, as well as the remarkable story of how her mother gave birth to Eva whilst entering Mauthausen Concentration camp in 1945. The pupils were able to reflect on such a powerful personal testimony and we would like to thank the Holocaust Educational Trust for organising such an important event. CAREERS FAIR All pupils in PVI–UVI were afforded the opportunity to hear from a range of professionals at our Annual Careers Evening. Pupils signed up to hear from three of the speakers on offer, who spent time discussing their careers to date, the wider industry in which they work, and the skills needed to succeed. Several parents kindly participated, speaking about careers as far reaching as FinTech Start Ups to Environmental Sustainability Projects. As ever, several Stocks contributed and it was lovely to hear about their career successes to date and to show them around new areas of the School, such as the Refectory. The School was full of excitement throughout the evening, and I know that out pupils got an enormous amount from it. We should like to thank all our contributors to the evening.
