The Eco Society: Champions of Change

We recognise that solving the complex challenges of sustainability requires innovative thinking and creative problem solving. Our pupils are encouraged to approach environmental issues with curiosity and to seek novel solutions, just as Froebel envisaged children exploring, discovering and inventing through play.

Our Eco Society serves as a dynamic hub of sustainability initiatives and critical thinking.

Sponsored litter pick events, including expeditions to Alton

Estate, Palewell Park and Richmond Park, exemplify a commitment to hands-on environmental action. Additionally, the Eco Society ignites creativity and eco-consciousness through activities such as the sustainability themed photography competition and Ibstock Clothes Swap event. More than just fashion, the Clothes Swap was a statement to challenge ‘fast fashion’ and showed pupils how they can still have stylish clothes whilst reusing and repurposing clothing in order to reduce waste.
